A small achievement

Greetings Medium author,

I have started this journey of writing in April 2020. It’s more than one year on this wonderful platform. So many things learned and made some great connections here.

Medium taught me some valuable lessons. If you are a beginner writer on Medium, then treat your writing as a job if you want to succeed.

Here are some lessons I have learned after writing on Medium which eventually helps me to be a better version of myself.

Consistency should be your priority

I know my past self who didn’t value time and I regret it a lot. If you are in any field of work, consistency makes you a winner. Winner of your life and your time. With consistency, you can beat procrastination and master your time.

Consistency helps you to be regular with whatever you do.

“Getting an audience is hard. Sustaining an audience is hard. It demands a consistency of thought, of purpose, and of action over a long period of time.”

-Bruce Springsteen

Writing requires you to be in a good mental state

If I want to write an inspirational article for my readers, I have to be inspired when I am writing it down. I can’t write a motivational article when I am feeling failure and disappointment in my life.

I believe if you are writing something, then you have to be in a good mental state. When you write, feel your writing and your words than see your emotions will be there when readers will read your work.

The title is the soul of your piece

The title is crucial. When I was a beginner, I wrote an article first and then decide on the title of an article. However, I learned the importance of writing a good title.

The title is the only way to attract readers to your piece. I am not talking about clickbait titles. However, you can create a meaningful and exciting title without writing a clickbait title.

I have started spending more time crafting the title.

I hope these lessons will also help you to achieve success in life.

I have finished a motivational writing challenge yesterday and today Medium surprised me with a great gift. You can read my Motivational pieces of writing here.

In the afternoon when I was cellaring my Gmail bin, I found one email says “I am a Top Writer in Inspiration”.

That was wonderful news and a reward for working hard. It was a hard challenge for me because I haven’t written that much earlier. In the 30 days, I have written 28 articles about Motivational pieces on a different theme.

I never thought of getting this top writer tag because the “Inspiration” tag has more than 156k stories and 50k writers. In the Inspiration tag, the top most writers are Tim Denning, Kristina God, and Ayodeji Awosika. For me, that’s like a dream come true.

I am grateful to all my readers and supporter who helped me to be where I am.

Dear readers,

Thank you so much for the support you show whenever you read, clap, comment, and highlight my stories. I know you are spending your valuable time on it, so thank you for giving your attention to my words. I am thankful for the encouraging responses that you write on my posts that help me to write more. Your words of encouragement have done much to calm my nerves. I appreciate you a lot. I will always try to reciprocate and show my support to all of you.

Thanks for being there.

Your true writer and a friend
